Job Summary:
The Taxation Executive is responsible for managing and overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization. This includes ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, preparing and filing various tax returns, managing audits, and advising on tax planning and strategies to minimize tax liabilities. The role requires a detailed understanding of tax regulations and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Return Management:
· Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including TDS, TCS, GST, and income tax.
· Ensure timely submission of stock statements and book debts to the bank before the 10th of every month.
· Compile and file ITC-04 data semi-annually.
· Reconcile ITC with GSTR 2A in ACSW.
Compliance and Reporting:
· Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
· Handle NESL approval and confirm loan balances monthly as per ACSW.
· Maintain and update the list of notice files.
· File Form 15CA on the income tax portal.
Tax Planning and Advisory:
· Advise management on tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
· Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
Documentation and Certificates:
· Prepare and issue TDS/TCS certificates to suppliers and customers quarterly.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all tax-related documents and filings.
Audits and Assessments:
· Assist with tax audits and assessments conducted by tax authorities.
· Prepare data and documents required for GST refunds, including export and inverted duty structure, and RFD 08.
Regulatory Updates:
· Update statutory and regulatory requirement checklists regularly.
· Ensure timely payment of TDS/TCS before the 7th of each month.
· Manage ESIC, EPF, and PT payments and returns before the due date.
Reconciliation and Ledger Management: ·
Reconcile ECL/cash ledger balances with books monthly
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent preferred.
· Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting.
· Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
· Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
